It was a cold and windy Saturday morning as our 8 students gathered at our Sterling Va. facility.  They were there  to discover how to set up and work an indoor close-up and macro studio.  It was the perfect weather to be working inside.

There were 8 work stations for 8 students, each providing a slightly different way to work with subjects, light subjects, study subjects to come up with wonderful macro and close-up images.  Everyone had an opportunity to work at the different stations and each station offered its own unique method of working.

This kind of photography has long been a favorite for a great many photographers but most look at it as an outdoor sport as opposed to a creative exercise that can also be done indoors with just about anything as a subject.

After all was done for the day we had an opportunity to look at the work the students had done and I have to admit it was some of the best macro photography and creativeness I have seen.  Kudos to all.
