Phottix Odin and Nikon D750 compatibility — The Phottix Journal

Phottix Odin and Nikon D750 compatibility — The Phottix Journal.

I am glad that Phottix was responsible enough to quickly issue an alert about trying to properly mount the Odin to the hot shoe of the Nikon 750.

The fault in this case relies with Nikon for not advising other companies that make products to work with theirs because of the “competitive” edge syndrome.

I cannot remember a time when the Nikon Hot Shoe spec has changed nor can I recall a reason for it accept in this instance where they may be trying to lock out competing companies who make similar flash products or better flash products at lower prices.

If you have purchased a D750 camera with the new spec hot shoe make sure you check out what ever accessories you have to make sure they are going to work.
