I have to admit that I have been saddened over the last few years that Nikon did not enter the mirrorless camera market because I have become a mirrorless user with first the Olympus Micro Four Thirds and now the Fuji Xt1. While I use the Fuji and love it and would not give it up, it could use some internal technology features that are found in Nikon Dslr camera bodies.
Nikon in the meantime has been quietly and carefully developing many advancements to the Dslr category and with the announcement of the D500 and D5 as well as the SB-5000. They simply have their direction and plans and for now it is not mirrorless, but to develop and enhance the Dslr to an incredible technological level. Do yourself a favor. If you are not a dedicated mirrorless user and want worth while upgrades to the Dslr category, look to Nikon when it comes to giving you what you want while allowing you to enhance your own photography experiences.
