It was just about 80 degrees today. Weather has been down, way down, and then up but today was very much up and a nice day to head out locally to shoot some images that would lend themselves to new software I am learning how to use.
So out we went to discover a little and old Catholic church and cemetery that my wife happened to come upon the other day. It was overcast, and was a great day for shooting black and white.
I wound up using an old favorite street camera, the Richo GR4 with a fixed 28mm lens at 800 iso and a Fuji XT1 with a 35mm 2.0 and 23mm 1.4 at Iso 200.
I have prepared a small gallery of images that I got to play with today. Learning new software like Alien Skin Exposure X and Sleeklens presets is a great way to get images started in both Lightroom and Photoshop. They create starting points for photographers to work with and from there enable the creation of a personal style that is all theirs.
The nice thing about Exposure X is that it can be used as a stand alone full raw processor or as a plug-in to Lightroom and Photoshop. Sleeklens is simply presets which can be stacked to provide a host of subtle changes.
