Like so many other things, there are two sides to the imaging story. Somewhere in the middle, and the middle is very well explained by the author of this article there is room for true cameras and lenses like Fuji X and Olympus Micro 4/3 as well as a phone camera like his iPhone 6 +. The smart photographer knows exactly when to use each. If you are going to spend your life taking pictures with your phone then you might find there are important moments you failed to capture like you could have with a (pardon the expression) regular camera with more versatility.
I shall continue to publish or re blog articles from photographers and their opposing opinions and of course stick my two cents in as well.
The more you read the more you learn.
I have an iPhone 6 Plus. It’s amazing. It has a backside illuminated sensor, an f/2.2 lens, and optical image stabilization. Yes, I have optical image stabilization in my phone. Would I ever use it for work? Not a chance.
