Editor’s Note: This is an OP-Ed. On the other hand, you can call it a rant. In fact, call it a rant.
My good friend Brian sent me this link and at first he thought I had written it. I did not. However I sure have written articles like this. It has been my belief for a very long time if a person making images consistently has problems then it is no longer viable to blame ones gear. I say this because the writer is correct. There no longer is a bad camera, lens or flash being made. All of this gear is so highly capable of giving anyone an opportunity to make great and lasting memories.
In a recent article however I have written about how over cooked most cameras are today. They have more junk options built in and if anything will screw up a great image it is going to be those junk options. I shall go once again on record. Stick to basics. Exposure,Aperture,Iso. And yes you can add in white balance even though auto white balance is usually more correct than not correct.
