Sayin’ Go Long – update February 14th 2018 – but not yet😍

Well this did not last too long. I received a lot more “stay around” emails since this was first posted by me and I thought if it is okay with all of you that I shall hang around for a while longer. 😘

I want to thank all of you who have taken the time over the years to read my blogs and check out my images.

I have spent a good part of my life involved in photography.  I have worked for some major camera companies, worked in camera store retail stores, owned my own photography workshop company, worked as a professional photographer in freelance capacities.  With rare exceptions, I have enjoyed every moment I have spent involved in photography.  I shall forever be indebted to my dad for giving me my start by allowing me to work in his darkroom at a very, very young age.   Love you dad!

I hope through my articles that I have written and website links to other photographer’s blogs, that I have been able to provide you with knowledge that helped you in your own photography endeavors.

This will be my last blog.  As of January 1st, 2018, I shall be closing the website.

Thanks for joining me on my journey.  I wish a wonderful life to all of you.

  1. Elliot, I certainly understand your reasons for deciding to end your blog. I will miss your bits of wisdom, bits of sarcasm, and just the idea of you being there. You sold me my first digital camera. . . almost 20 years ago. Your patience was enormous, and I can hear your voice to this day on how to change lenses, cleaning contacts, and filters. I attended workshops with you; my most memorable one being in MD at the abandoned silk mill. I have a photo or two that I would like to share of you, if you could provide me an email address. I wish you peace as you open the next chapter of your life. Take care and Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

    1. well Candy I’ll be around for at least another year. I was trying to a minimum blog using Adobe Spark but it just did not work out. So I shall still be publishing. Thanks for your kind words.

  2. thanks so much , Elliot… for your generosity in sharing your opinions and experiences and for being one of my early mentors. Thanks for all of your help and for caring

    1. Hi Willa. I attempted to use Adobe Spark to do a minimum blog but it was really not good. So I think I’ll be here at least another year. Thanks for your kind words.

  3. Elliot, I’m gonna miss your words of wisdom, thanks for all the years of imparting knowledge to us aspiring photographers. The one piece of advice I never forget is to always turn around and look. Thanks Elliot!

    1. Jose. Thanks. I tired to use Adobe Spark to keep a few words going but it really does suck. So I am back into my blog for at least one more year. So you’ll have to put up with me for a while longer 🙂

  4. Elliot, your an adult institution. WTF are you quitting now for??? I’m gonna miss you and your ramblings. Will you now have time to come out this way for a visit? Lots of good wineries, breweries and of course my good company.

    Sincerest Regards, Bill Moravek
